Hayley Evans, Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Teacher

About Hayley

Hayley Evans is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner (AAPUK), 500-hour Yoga Teacher and founder of Roam Retreats. For more than fifteen years Hayley Evans has been practising, studying and teaching Ayurveda, Yoga and approaches to self-awareness, with a passion for making these ancient teachings practical, accessible and relevant to modern life.

Her journey began in her early twenties while living in Sri Lanka, where she was first introduced to the philosophies of Yoga and Ayurveda. Drawn to their understanding of the relationship between the body, mind and nature, she discovered a way of looking at health that felt both deeply intuitive and profoundly practical.

For a time, the mind chose a different path from the heart. Hayley built a successful career in business and fashion, but the pace, pressure and demands of corporate life gradually came at a cost to her wellbeing. A series of health challenges became the catalyst for a different path—one that led her back to Ayurveda and to the beginning of her own healing journey.

Rather than accepting that feeling depleted and disconnected was simply part of modern life, she sought the guidance of an Ayurvedic doctor. Ayurveda invited her to become curious: to observe the patterns of nature, understand her own unique constitution and recognise that true wellbeing is never about following someone else’s blueprint.

Together with Yoga, meditation and mindful movement, this became the foundation of a gradual return to balance—not through perfection, but through learning to listen more closely to the wisdom of the body.

Today, Hayley lives in Portugal and shares these teachings through retreats, workshops and online learning. Her work blends the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga with modern science, psychology and practical education, helping people better understand themselves and build habits that support long-term wellbeing.

How I Teach

I don’t believe lasting wellbeing comes from following another set of rules. It comes from understanding yourself more deeply.

My goal isn’t simply to teach Yoga or Ayurveda. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, so you can become an active participant in your own wellbeing.

Whether we’re exploring digestion, movement, stress, sleep or seasonal living, I aim to make ancient wisdom practical, accessible and relevant to modern life. I love bringing together the depth of traditional teachings with insights from modern science, creating learning experiences that are both evidence-informed and deeply rooted in their origins.

Above all, I want every person who joins a retreat, workshop or course to feel welcomed, supported and empowered. My hope is that you leave not simply feeling rested, but with the knowledge, confidence and curiosity to continue your own journey long after we say goodbye.
